While the engineers were designing new generations of modern machine tools it became more and more evident that there is an enormous demand for the training of a workforce qualified to program, operate and maintain these new machines.
In response to the rising demand for comprehensive training in the new technologies, a new competence center for educational matters, EMCO Projects International, was established in 1989.
This division was, due to the orientation towards new technologies, subsequently outsourced and a new company, called AEP Austrian Education Projects, was established.
AEP is the independent group competence center for educational projects within the A-TEC Industrial Group, consisting of e.g. EMCO Hallein, AE&E Graz, ATB Spielberg, etc..
The unique combination of AE&E’s, EMCO’s, and the other industries’ background as a successful supplier of high-tech equipment for industry and at the same time as a provider of educational programs guarantees, that the skills transferred will be immediately applicable in industrial reality.
Beside the know-how in technical education, AEP provides wide experience in service and administration education.
AEP’s mission is to manage the extensive transfer of technology required for industrial development, offering complete educational projects in cooperation with governmental, regional, financial and commercial institutions.
